I am a California native turned Oregonian. My primary focus in publishing lies in the architectural phase of a book's life. I find immense joy in the big picture work—identifying a unique voice, shaping a narrative’s structure, and helping authors refine their vision. This is balanced by a meticulous eye for copyediting and proofreading, ensuring that the final text is as polished as the original concept was bold.
During my undergraduate years at the University of Oregon, I worked as a writer for student-run publications Flux Magazine and Align Magazine. These roles taught me the grit and precision of reportive writing and collaborative production.
Currently, I am earning a Master of Arts in Book Publishing at Portland State University, where I serve as the Copy Chief for Ooligan Press. In this leadership role, I manage the house style and oversee the quality control of our titles, ensuring every manuscript meets the highest editorial standards. This hands-on experience allows me to apply my expertise in departmental management, editorial strategy, and the technical precision required to transform a manuscript into a finished book.
